Throughout my journeys around the world I encountered a great variety of abandoned cars. Japan in particular struck me with the concept of disposing old cars and leaving them to the elements, but also South America and Eastern Europe have a great share of classic cars in an open air setting. As a Photographer and Petrol Head I could not help seeing a strange beauty and a sense of apocalypse in this motives.  So I began to portrait these witnesses of bygone eras of automotive design over the years and compiled thousands of images on this topic.
